This workshop is intended for those interested in developing a personal mindfulness practice. The mindfulness skills illustrated in this workshop come from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT®), an empirically supported treatment created by Marsha Linehan for individuals with difficulties regulating emotions and impulsive behavior. Linehan translated the principles of Zen practice into a set of “what” and “how” skills.
These Mindfulness skills are at the core of DBT, every DBT skills group begins with mindfulness meditation. Every DBT skill taught depends on mindfulness. Often when trying to understand when something went wrong during your day or when something went right, mindfulness is implicated.
Everyday Mindfulness Workshop with licensed therapist Kristi Galloway is a small group workshop. Individuals may enroll in either the "what" sessions or the "how" sessions- or both! The October sessions are held on Monday October 7th, 14th and 21st.
