Kristine Luke is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina. She received her Master of Arts in Psychology: Clinical Counseling from The Citadel Graduate College in December 2021.
​Throughout her training Kristine has focused on DBT and substance abuse treatment through an internship at Ernest Kennedy Center, as a co-leader for skills groups, and by providing skills focused individual DBT sessions.
Kristine provides individual and group therapy services with CDBTA.

This comprehensive training involves rigorous preparation, training, and homework. Just as DBT requires clients to make a full commitment to treatment and to attend all sessions, DBT training requires participants to attend the entire training, do their best to learn the material, and participate in a willing, committed manner.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Post Masters Training Fellowship
August 2022 - January 2024
CDBTA’s fellowship program combines intensive training, mentorship, peer consultation and hands-on clinical work. The program is designed to enhance clinical competencies in DBT treatment and prepares clinicians for national certification. CDBTA fellows learn from specialists in the field by participating in DBT consultation team, mentorship discussions, learning activities and individual supervision. Fellows apply their learning by co- facilitating DBT Skills Training Groups and providing therapy to a small number of clients.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Introduction
November 2021
This training, offered through Behavioral Tech: A Linehan Institute Training Company, introduces Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills: Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants learn about the function of skills training in DBT, the structure of a DBT skills training program, the goals and general content of each skills module, and the targets for DBT skills training. It also provides an overview of the manner in which DBT conceptualizes problems, as well as the behavior change, validation, and dialectical strategies used across all modes of the treatment.

Clinical Counseling Student Internship
January 2021 – December 2021
CDBTA’s internship program is a year long internship for graduate students in clinical counseling programs. This internship combines intensive training, mentorship, peer consultation and hands-on clinical work. The program is designed to enhance clinical competencies in DBT treatment and prepares clinicians for licensure as professional counselors. Interns apply their learning by observing and co- facilitating DBT Skills Training Groups while providing therapy to a small number of clients.
