CDBTA FELLOWSHIP DETAILS

The Charleston DBT Associates Post Masters Fellowship is available to licensed or provisionally licensed clinicians interested in learning this evidence-based treatment model. The fellowship program combines intensive training, mentorship, peer consultation and hands-on clinical work, and is designed to enhance the fellow’s clinical competencies in DBT treatment while preparing clinicians for national certification. CDBTA fellows will learn from specialists in the field by participating in DBT consultation team, mentorship discussions, learning activities and individual supervision. Fellows will have the opportunity to apply their learning by co-facilitating a DBT Skills Training Group and providing individual therapy to CDBTA clients. The CDBTA fellowship is a part-time position, beginning at 10 hours per week and increasing to 20 hours over the course of the initial 6-months of the fellowship. Due to the timeline of DBT treatment a one-year commitment is required if chosen for the position. Fellows are reimbursed based on a percentage of their clinical hours, as well as receiving a stipend to offset expenses during this training experience. LPC-A fellows receive weekly supervision towards licensure throughout their fellowship.

Selected applicants are contacted for interviews on a rolling basis.
