Psychiatric Medication Management

Ashley Royer is a doctoral prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner. Ashley received her doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina and has been working within large level 1 trauma centers for over 27 years treating both pediatric and adult populations.  Ashley has clinical experience within inpatient and outpatient settings and has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).  Ashley specializes in evidence-based treatment for psychiatric disorders and has a passion for assisting those struggling with addictions.

Ashley provides psychiatric medication management services for CDBTA's DBT-SUD program.

Clinical Counseling Student Internship

August 2023 – May 2024

CDBTA’s internship program is a year long internship for graduate students in clinical counseling programs. This internship combines intensive training, mentorship, peer consultation and hands-on clinical work. The program is designed to enhance clinical competencies in DBT treatment and prepares clinicians for licensure. Interns apply their learning by observing and co- facilitating DBT Skills Training Groups while participating in weekly CDBTA Team Consultations.
