DBT Fellow, Skills Group Leader
Alex Daley is a Master's Level Clinician in South Carolina. She received her Master of Arts in Psychology: Clinical Counseling from The Citadel Graduate College and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Fine Arts from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
Alex’s training has consisted of a focus on evidence-based treatment for adults with substance use disorders, emotion dysregulation, personality disorders, attention deficit disorders and overcontrol disorders. Throughout her training Alex has focused on DBT as a co-leader for DBT skills groups and RO-DBT skills group and by providing skills-focused individual DBT sessions.
Alex provides group therapy services with CDTBA.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy Post Masters Training Fellowship
June 2026 - current
CDBTA’s fellowship program combines intensive training, mentorship, peer consultation and hands-on clinical work. The program is designed to enhance clinical competencies in DBT treatment and prepares clinicians for national certification. CDBTA fellows learn from specialists in the field by participating in DBT consultation team, mentorship discussions, learning activities and individual supervision. Fellows apply their learning by co- facilitating DBT Skills Training Groups and providing therapy to a small number of clients.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Introduction
February 2026
This training, offered through Behavioral Tech: A Linehan Institute Training Company, introduces Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills: Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants learn about the function of skills training in DBT, the structure of a DBT skills training program, the goals and general content of each skills module, and the targets for DBT skills training. It also provides an overview of the manner in which DBT conceptualizes problems, as well as the behavior change, validation, and dialectical strategies used across all modes of the treatment.

Clinical Counseling Student Internship

CDBTA’s internship program is a year long internship for graduate students in clinical counseling programs. This internship combines intensive training, mentorship, peer consultation and hands-on clinical work. The program is designed to enhance clinical competencies in DBT treatment and prepares clinicians for licensure as professional counselors. Interns apply their learning by observing and co- facilitating DBT Skills Training Groups while providing therapy to a small number of clients.
